About this deal

Before I go to far on the review, lets take a look at how this cuts and we can discuss the nitty gritty after. Sorry I had to fast forward this guys video a whole 5 minutes to saved wasted time: These are the best tree root removal equipment and cutting tools. Advantages of using shovel and chainsaw for tree root removal Not everyone can afford, or wants to spend a lot of money on a silky pruning saw or something similar. Thankfully for lower end money you can actually have the best. This blade is coarse and an absolute ripper. You need a bit of force to make this thing move, but once you do, you won’t be disappointed. Being triple ground you need some force to cut – this is why some may snag as they cut. The blade is hard, very sharp, and resistant to rust. Don’t worry though, further on in the review I talk through some finer cut blades that are super easy to use. The 8 inch saw blade has 9 teeth per inch and does a great job of slicing through branches thanks to the Japanese style ‘cut on pull’ designed to reduce friction.
the handles worth a mention too. The feel is nice and you can expect to hold on reasonably well. However, theres no chance of me using a pruning saw without gloves as per their demo image. If you’ve never used any of these wood cutting tools before, opt for the least powerful one you need for the job. Particularly for the chainsaw and leaf blower; otherwise, you could end up with a heavy tool that you’ll never get the full benefit of.

The word “Tractor” is associated with words such as “traction” or “tractive”. It is derived from the Latin word “tractus”, which means pulling. The scabbard is designed so that the saw can't fall out of it, but can still be withdrawn with just one hand when needed. With the available leg straps, you can strap the Gomtaro Root to your lower leg to always have the saw at arms length. Felling a tree doesn’t mean you’ve killed the tree, as long as its roots are still intact then the job is only half done. One of the fastest ways to remove tree roots is with machines. When the roots have been exposed using the shovel, you will need a pair of sharp garden shears to do the rest.

After cutting a tree, there is the need to remove the roots, so as not to cause any regrowth of leaves on the surface.

The rubber handle feels so comfortable in the hand and much of that is to do with the rubberised handle that really helps stop slipping.
Included with the saw is a polypropylene sheath with a belt clip.
This is more expensive than the Wilkinson and certainly equals the cut power. So overall a decent alternative. This band saw kit comes with a 21″ long blade that is ideal for reaching deep into tree root systems. The teeth on the blade are designed for cutting through rigid materials like wood and metal, making it perfect for cutting through tree roots. The kit also includes a carrying case and an adapter that makes it compatible with most reciprocal saws. Makita XRJ04Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Reciprocating Saw – I won’t waste your time with the obvious things too much here: price, rust proof, robustness, easy to clean, how safe to use, and blade retention are all important factors and are considered in my choices for the best pruning saws. With the electric pruning saws I also look at weight, balance, and battery quality/cost. Looking after a pruning saw The design of a tractor sacrifices speed for pulling power. It is rare to see a tractor moving at a high speed. If you do, then be sure it isn’t dragging any heavy object along. If you do piny up the extra for the quality it makes sense to look after the blade. this lovely Aussie lady takes a while to get into her video but how to look after a Silky blade gets started where I’ve set you on the video:Let’s start with the few bad ish points I can find. With the cable only being 3 metres in length you’re going to want a waterproof cable reel as they didn’t even try to add a cable long enough to this unit. I actually think that’s a wise move. Most trees could be anywhere up to 80 ft down a normal garden. It would increase the price of the unit beyond sensible costs to add that length of cable. A smart move really to accept the cable issue off the bat. So after saying this is marketing genius it does have a few holes. They are mainly down to how heavy the use, if it’s light work then Bosch is the best option for sure. I don’t want to sound too down on this tool because it really is useful for lighter work! Pros: Shears are similar to a pair of scissors, only that they are much larger. You can use them to cut up smaller roots. They are not suitable for cutting large roots (roots that are wider than an inch in diameter). This cordless reciprocating saw comes with an 18″ long blade that is perfect for reaching deep into tree root systems. The teeth on the blade are designed for cutting through rigid materials like wood and metal, making it ideal for cutting through tree roots. The lithium-ion battery provides plenty of power for all your cuts, and the included charger ensures that you can always keep your saw ready to go. Dewalt DW311K Variable Speed Reciprocating Saw Kit – Before getting started, wear all the appropriate safety gear, including gloves, goggles, ear protection, and a face mask. You’ll also want to ensure the area around you is clear of debris or obstacles. Next, look at the root system and identify which direction you need to cut to fall the tree.
