About this deal

I would get lost for a little bit and have to back track to who was fighting who as what was going down. I love how Ross and Krueger prove that DC has a great catalog of heroes - and especially villains, already established. Suddenly, across the globe villains like Lex Luthor, Captain Cold, and Poison Ivy offer up help the downtrodden, particularly those with disabilities and people living in the third world. Hey, and props for giving Aquaman something to do except drip sea water all over the shag carpeting in the Watchtower.

It hooked me immediately and when I started reading it last Thursday night with the intention of finishing one chapter before going to bed I found myself unable to put the book down! The twist with the Metal Men ruse at end was a bit hokey, I get wanting to celebrate everyone, so it worked for the story and fed into the fun of it all. The series heavily draws upon the 1970s Super Friends animated series, most notably the Challenge of the Super Friends incarnation, which featured the Legion of Doom as regular characters. MINI REVIEW: I started by reading this in parts and then saw it was all in one volume so I started over to get the full experience.

If you are a fan of the Silver age of DC comics then read this it will take you back in time to those stories. But rather than just going the Justice League route and only involving a handful of heroes or incapacitating a few of the unnecessary ones to make for a more reasonable cast, Krueger and Ross throw everyone at the page.As he's just kind of this self-indulgent, independent force feeding off and causing more chaos, unhinged right there in the middle of it all.
